Chuck Close, who rose to prominence in the 1970s and ’80s with colossal photorealist portraits of himself, family members and fellow artists, but who late in his career faced accusations of sexual harassment, died Thursday in a hospital in Oceanside, New York. He was 81.

The artist 'Chuck Close' is an American painter, artist and photographer. He makes massive-scale photorealist portraits.

'Charles Thomas Close' often paints abstract portraits of himself and others, which hang in collections internationally.
Photorealism, an art genre that was revived between the 1960s and 70s, means reproducing photographs of everyday landscapes, objects, and figures as paintings.

If it is transferred to the canvas as the picture shows, it can be reproduced "objectively" excluding the artist's intentions and emotions, and it is based on the perception that the object of expression should not be distorted by the artist's intentions and emotions. he had a learning disability due to 'dyslexia', but he is a wonderful person and writer who overcame it through painting and demonstrated his ability.

The characteristic of his work is that he took a picture of a deep field of view with a 190mm lens and used a grid to build and peel colors on it, usually taking 4 to 7 months.

His work has become a ‘Photograph’ itself. that the grid is divided, shaped and colored in it remains unchanged, but he is not complacent.

Even though he was paralyzed from the lower half, he tied his fingers to paint. He lived with passion.

<Ars longa, vita brevis> - ‘ Hippocrates of Cos’  by reference to Art continues to influence our lives in some way.

We will have to remember forever throughout our lives about 'Chuck Close'
